Terms and Conditions

At The Gresham we think it’s good to be clear about the terms of our bookings in advance.

Check in is between 3pm and 6pm with early/late check in when available, by arrangement only (additional charge may apply). Check out is 10am on your day of departure and late check out may be available but should be requested in advance (additional charge may apply).

Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the building (including from balconies and windows) as this increases the risk of fire and causes damage to soft furnishings etc – a charge of £100 is applied to guests who smoke in their rooms and may also be asked to leave without refund.

The maximum number of guests in a room is clearly displayed at the time of booking and there is no facility for additional beds. We reserve the right to refuse entry to bookings where the maximum number of guests has been exceeded and no refund will be given.

All breakages, damages and losses to hotel property must be reported as soon as possible. We reserve the right to charge the replacement cost for any damage to the rooms or missing items (including towels).

Please notify us at the time of booking if you have any allergies.

Bookings must be paid for using a valid credit or debit card prior to arrival. Please note that payment is due 14 days in advance. Bookings made via agents may be subject to different terms. Please make a note of your booking reference which will be emailed to you in your confirmation email as this may be needed if you contact us or an agent to make any changes to your booking.

Our guests are singles, couples and families who are looking to relax and have a restful stay or are here for business purposes, please be respectful of this and keep any noise to a minimum.

We do not accept Stag or Hen parties or other similar groups unless you have made a telephone enquiry to discuss this with us prior to any reservations made – arrivals of groups booked without agreement will not be accepted and no refunds will be given.

Non residents are not allowed to access the property unless prior arrangement has been made.

Cancellations and amendments can be made up to 14 days before arrival. After this date cancellations or no shows are charged at 100% and we advise you to take out holiday insurance to cover unexpected illness etc.

Bookings made via agents may be subject to different terms. If you made your booking with an agent, you must cancel directly with them in order to avoid any penalty.
